Robert Flaherty Hart, a Kansas City native, holds a BA in Theatre from Emporia State University and MFAs in both Acting and Playwriting from the University of Arkansas. An actor, writer, director and teacher, he has done professional voice-over work and acted in commercials, short and feature-length films, and nearly 100 stage productions. Prior to moving back to Kansas City just recently, he performed as Hubert Humphrey in All the Way and Count van Strack in Amadeus for TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was also seen as Bix in the world premiere production of The Jefferson Bottles (Block Street Theatre), Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing (Tulsa Shakespeare in the Park) and Marc in Art (ArkansasStaged). Recent directing credits include Oklahoma! and The Diary of Anne Frank for Arkansas Arts Academy, and The Dinner Party for Emporia State University. He is a Teaching Artist with the Coterie Theatre, and celebrated the Kansas City area premiere of his original play Poor Relations in February 2017.
