Coy Garrett is a Kansas City-based actor, singer, and director. A recent graduate of the University of Kansas, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Performance with a minor in Communication Studies. She was the 2024 recipient of the Laura Louise Pryor Award, given to a graduating student in Theatre/Voice who has made significant contributions to the University Theatre production program.

During her time at KU, Coy performed in numerous main stage productions and spent her final semester devising her senior musical theatre capstone project.

In addition to her work onstage, Coy teaches workshops and classes in musical theatre, acting, and movement for young performers—formerly at her hometown’s arts center and currently at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. When she’s not performing or teaching, Coy enjoys exploring museums (especially dinosaur exhibits), visiting planetariums, hiking nature trails, and spending time with her loved ones.
