Robert Gibby Brand is trapped in the wrong century. It’s often an awkward situation, but he’s made the best of things. He’s created his own time machine via 30+ year career as an actor and singer. He’s surrounded himself with the books, music, art and films that make him happy. He has committed many things to memory. (Why search Wiki when you have your own brain?). Shakespeare, Gilbert and Sullivan and German Lieder remind him of his true home. He finds great solace in performing or teaching or engaging in invigorating discourse over a cup of tea/glass of dry sherry/icy gin and tonic – depending on the season and time of day. Eccentric? Very probably, but he does his best in these trying times. What you will get when working or conversing with Bob is his contagious love for theatre, literature, music (1600 until the death of Richard Strauss) – and the gift of his full attention.
